This Cost Living Index measures regional differences in the cost of consumer goods and services, excluding taxes and non-consumer expenditures, for professional and managerial households in the top income quintile.

Cost of Living Index shown below is based on Six Components: Housing, Utilities, Grocery Items, Transportation, Healthcare and Miscellaneous Goods & Services. The national average for the urban areas is taken to be 100 for this index and the following two tables depict urban areas with the most and least COL indices.
